Woodworking 101

Woodworking 101 is our starting‑level class designed for those who have always wanted to learn woodworking but aren’t sure where to begin. This course provides a welcoming introduction to the craft, focusing on the fundamentals of woodworking in a relaxed, hands‑on environment. Expert instructors guide you through safe tool use, wood selection and basic joinery, explaining how to read simple plans and operate common hand and power tools. Participants learn to handle saws, chisels and drills safely while building a straightforward project such as a tool box. No prior experience is necessary — we emphasise safety and confidence building so you can discover the joy of working with wood. By the end of this starting‑level class you’ll understand the basic woodworking process and walk away with your own small handcrafted project and the confidence to tackle more involved classes

Course: 8 classes (24 hours)

Crafting Confident

Crafting Confident is a mid‑level woodworking course that bridges the gap between a beginner’s introduction and advanced craftsmanship. It is intended for people who know the basics and want to grow by working on more involved projects. You’ll strengthen your understanding of material selection, tool operation and joinery. Guided practice helps you refine the safe use of power tools such as table saws, drill presses and jointers as you develop a functional piece of furniture or décor. The emphasis is on building confidence — you’ll learn to interpret project plans, choose the right materials and incorporate precision into your work. Projects are more ambitious than in Woodworking 101, but the focus remains on skill development and hands‑on experience. By the end you’ll be comfortable tackling intermediate projects and ready for the challenges of Precision Lab

Course: 8 classes (24 hours)

Precision Lab

Precision Lab is our advanced woodworking experience for dedicated makers who want to elevate their craft. It assumes strong basic and intermediate skills because this class dives into advanced methods and meticulous attention to detail. Guided by experienced instructors you’ll work through the entire woodworking process — from selecting appropriate wood species and laying out plans to executing complex joinery and fine finishing. You will design and build an ambitious piece such as a cabinet or sculptural object, using hand tools and stationary machines to achieve clean lines and tight fits. The emphasis is on precision and efficiency; you’ll learn advanced tool setups, workholding and finishing techniques that yield professional results. Small class sizes allow for personalised feedback. By completing Precision Lab you’ll be prepared to take on high‑level projects and deepen your appreciation for the craft

Course: 8 classes (24 hours)

Our Classes Values

Safety First

Safety is the foundation of every class we offer. From the moment you step into the workshop, you’ll be introduced to clear safety guidelines, protective equipment, and supervised tool use. Our instructors model safe practices at every step, ensuring that each student develops respect for tools, materials, and workspace. We believe that learning woodworking should be both inspiring and safe, and this principle guides everything we do

Our Teaching Approach

We keep classes small so every student gets hands-on guidance. Each level builds naturally on the previous one, allowing beginners to start with confidence and advanced students to refine their skills. Lessons are structured to balance theory, demonstration, and plenty of time for making

Community & Creativity

Our workshop isn’t just about woodworking projects — it’s about making confidence and community. Students encourage each other, share ideas, and celebrate finished work. This collaborative atmosphere makes learning fun and motivates students to take pride in what they create.
